After consecutive runner-up finishes to start his career last November, Cylinder has improved in his second campaign, with a Silver Slipper victory followed by a Todman win on March 4, which is traditionally one of the stronger form references for the Golden Slipper.

The Godolphin colt is an outright favourite with bet365 for the 2023 Golden Slipper, where $4 is the current quote.

Learning To Fly ($5.50) has arguably been the leading two-year-old of this current crop, with the daughter of Justify unbeaten from three starts.

She's shown versatility in those outings, having sat on the speed at starts one and three, but forced back from a wide barrier in the Inglis Millenium on February 13, this filly was able to finish off powerfully.

While King's Gambit hasn't saluted since his brilliant Debuatant Stakes win last October, he's been fancied for the Golden Slipper a long way out and Team Snowden opted to trial him on March 7 instead of contesting the Todman.

At $7.50, he shares the third line of betting with Steel City, a Maher & Eustace-trained filly who was luckless in the Blue Diamond before breaking through in last Saturday's Magic Night Stakes.

Red Resistance ($9) rounds out the single figure chances, with this Waterhouse & Bott colt bringing what looks the right form from his first three outings and he should strip fitter from the Todman, where he was nearly six weeks between runs.
