After an unlucky second in the Silver Shadow Stakes first-up, Godolphin filly In Secret landed big bets as a well supported favourite in the Run To The Rose, which is the traditional lead-up to the Golden Rose.
At $3.50 with bet365, she shades stablemate Golden Mile ($5), who also saluted on the September 10 program from Rosehill, with the son of Astern taking out the Ming Dynasty Quality.
That dominant Group 3 win was completed over the Rosehill 1400m, the same track and trip of the Golden Rose.
Jacquinot ($7.50) brings strong Melbourne form, with this exciting colt easily accounting for Aft Cabin on return, and that galloper franked the form with a big win via the Caulfield Guineas Prelude on Saturday.
Fireburn ($13) was easily the best performed two-year-old of this season and her Run To The Rose return was a pass mark.
After brilliant victories in the Golden Slipper and Sires' Produce, the daughter of Rebel Dane just fell short of the Sydney two-year-old triple crown, with a narrow Champagne Stakes loss to She's Extreme ($11).
The Anthony Cummings-trained filly was excellent first-up, making ground against a savage on-paced bias via the September 3 meeting from Randwick.

Golden Rose Winners
First being run and won in 1978, this feature was originally known as the Peter Pan Stakes after the dual Melbourne Cup winner, but was renamed the Golden Rose after its grading was dropped from Group Two to an 'Unlisted' affair despite a prize money increase to $1 million.
This major was upgraded to a Group One event in 2009 and since then has become a stallion making race which is evident with recent winners that includes Zoustar, Exosphere, Trapeze Artist, The Autumn Sun and Ole Kirk who are all well in demand and popular in the current breeding climate.
Bivouac (2019), Ole Kirk (2020) and In The Congo (2021) have won the last three editions of the Golden Rose.
