Her run in the Toorak Handicap was nothing short of great with that big weight and being held up for room along the inside, beaten by what could possibly be a star of the turf.
Tofane is a three-time Group One winner racing in terrific heart so there is no knocking her on form or what she has done leading into this race.
I still hold a slight reservation over her over the mile which has stopped me from landing with her on top, but all-in-all she seemed to run it out strongly in the Toorak.

Empire Rose Stakes 2021 Value Bet - Flying Mascot
This mare jumped out of the box last week when winning the Tesio Stakes by nearly five lengths in what was a soft last 100m for her.
It was a peach of a ride from Blaike McDougall who retains the ride here and from barrier seven, she looks to be afforded every opportunity to produce a similar performance.
Being a run that stood up well above her previous runs, there of course needs to be a question of whether Flying Mascot can hold that form, but if she does, then the Tom Dabernig mare must be given a chance.
