The 3YOs are very classy prospects heading into the race, none more so than Odeum, the Thousand Guineas winner who will carry just 49kg. Mystic Journey must be included on her best form but this does look a very even mares race.

This race could very well be another case of the 3YOs dominating off the back of nice wins, including the winner of the Thousand Guineas Odeum.

She settled in the box seat in the Guineas and showed an electric turn of foot to blow a nice field away.

From barrier seven, she could settle in the same position, except one off the fence. I would not even be shocked if they tried to lead with her, taking luck out the equation with the 49kg.

Jye McNeil is a great Flemington jockey and can get this girl over the line in the Group One.

Queen Betty returned to form last start at Moonee Valley in the Stocks Stakes, showing an explosive turn of foot to beat Perfect Jewel who was the mare in form.

The key to her is being back home, and making that rough boat trip across the Tasman just a day before the race.

When she campaign early on, she stayed in Victoria and was plain and simply not a happy horse.

Back to her best, she would win this race comfortably, so we are counting on her to give Odeum a little challenge late.

Not overly confident that she runs out a strong mile, but she is in form and will be ridden cold to try and rattle home over the top of them late.

Her Caulfield win last start in the Tristarc Stakes was fantastic, ducking through on the inside with a sharp turn of foot, showing that she is a top class 1400m horse.

She has only been tested over the mile once, but with a short turn of foot, that would see her unsuited over this trip, especially at Flemington with 3YOs carrying 49kg, but you know what they say about a mare in form.
