After a slow start to her campaign, Atishu ($4.40) put in a much improved effort in the Group 1 Might And Power Stakes, where she finished third behind Deny Knowledge and Mr Brightside.
The Chris Waller-trained mare has a good record at Flemington, with three wins and two placings from eights starts at HQ.
Although Orchestral ($4.40) was well held second-up via her Australian return in the Toorak Handicap, she was somewhat unlucky behind a dominant Antino.
The New Zealand-based mare is a two-time Group 1 winner and the last of those was recorded on Australian debut last autumn when successful in the Vinery Stud Stakes.
A winning drought is starting to creep up on Amelia's Jewel ($5.50), who hasn't saluted since beating Pride Of Jenni back in September 2023 when taking out the Group 2 Stocks Stakes.
The ex-Western Australian galloper has been competitive in three starts since joining the Annabel Neasham & Rob Archibald stable and the five-year-old arrives here off a fifth-place finish in the King Charles III Stakes on October 19.

Empire Rose Stakes Winners
The Empire Rose Stakes has a relatively short history when inaugurated in 1988, with Concordance winning the first-ever running of the event.
Named after Empire Rose who completed the MacKinnion Stakes/Melbourne Cup double in 1988, the race is a coveted one in the Melbourne Cup Carnival.
It achieved Group 1 status in 2004 which has ensured much better fields taking to the track to compete for the $1 million prize pool.
Colette (2021), Icebath (2022) and Pride Of Jenni (2023) have won the last three editions of the Empire Rose Stakes.
