2022 Coronation Stakes Entries
After Homeless Songs drifted and was subsequently withdrawn from the race, Inspiral replaced the Irish Guineas winner at the head of the betting. John Gosden's filly missed her intended comeback in the 1000 Guineas, but after Frankie Dettori was confirmed for this contest, Inspiral has been heavily backed.
Cachet held off a late charge from Prosperous Voyage to win the 1000 Guineas at Newmarket and the two will renew rivalries at Ascot. George Boughey's filly was denied in the French 1000 Guineas by Mangoustine and Mikel Delzangles has handed an Ascot debut to his Classic winner.
Discoveries will attempt to follow in the footsteps of her sister, Alpha Centauri, who won the Coronation Stakes brilliantly at Royal Ascot in 2018. Andrew Balding's Sandrine and Aidan O'Brien's Tenebrism will be looking to bounce back to form, having finished fifth and eighth respectively in the 1000 Guineas.
Breeders- Cup winner, Pizza Bianca and Graham Motion's Spendarella make the trip over from the US to take on the best Europe has to offer. John Gosden's second-string, Grand Dame features in the betting, along with Henry De Bromhead's Honey Girl and Hilal Kobeissi's 100/1 outsider, Rolling The Dice.

2022 Coronation Stakes Tips
Inspiral leads the betting, based purely on her juvenile form. John Gosden's filly was withdrawn from the 1000 Guineas after reports of a slight setback in the build-up emerged. After confirming she would run, Gosden said Inspiral has been "very slow to come to hand", and there's a strong chance she could need her first outing of the season. At a short price, we'll look around her for an alternative.
Front-runners have been going well on the fast ground this week, so Cachet might be a tough nut to crack. Prosperous Voyage is greatly respected, as is unbeaten US filly Spendarella, who'll be ridden by William Buick.

At the prices, the best value bet could be SANDRINE, who won the Albany Stakes when the ground turned heavy on this card 12 months ago. Andrew Balding's filly then scored on fast ground at the July Meeting, before rounding off an excellent juvenile campaign with placed efforts in the Lowther Stakes and the Cheveley Park.
Balding decided to throw his filly straight into the 1000 Guineas on her three-year-old reappearance and Sandrine drifted out to 25/1 after being drawn wide in stall 13. David Probert was forced to restrain his keen-going mount and the duo sat last at the half-way stages, some ten lengths adrift of the front-running Cachet.
Probert was one of the last to come off the bridle, but when he asked his mount for an effort, Sandrine drifted left across the track, away from the leaders. By the time her rider managed to get her back on the straight-and-narrow, Cachet was home and hosed and Sandrine's effort was only good enough for fifth.
Despite all her problems in-running, Sandrine was still only beaten three lengths in that Classic. Her performance that day was reminiscent of stablemate Alcohol Free, who stayed on from a wide draw to finish fifth at Newmarket before following up here at Royal Ascot.
