Mr Brightside (barrier 8) opened his 2024 account with a return victory in the CF Orr Stakes and he'll once again resume in this 1400m feature.
The eight-time Group 1 winner has an excellent record at Caulfield, with five wins and three placings from nine starts at this circuit, and all of his Caulfield triumphs have come over seven furlongs.
Another Wil (barrier 3) is another galloper with a strong Caulfield record (three wins and a second from five attempts) and his only first-up miss was a second-place finish on debut.
The Ciaron Maher-trained gelding did fail via his first two Group 1 showings before rounding his 2024 spring with a runner-up finish in the Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes over this track/trip.
This will be the first Group 1 attempt from Schwarz (barrier 7) and the four-year-old impressed on return when recording a two-length victory in the Australia Stakes.
While the son of Zoustar hasn't been in the money via two previous second-up outings, he has saluted in two of three 1400m outings.
Steparty (barrier 4) hasn't won since taking out the 2023 Caulfield Guineas Prelude over this track/trip, however, he's been consistent following a slow start to the season, with the four-year-old arriving here off five consecutive placings.
Also, he should be suited by the rise in distance after doing his best work late as runner-up in the Australia Stakes (1200m).

CF Orr Stakes Winners
The C.F. Orr Stakes is the first Group 1 of the calendar in Australia, a 1400m weight-for-age event run over 1400m at Caulfield.
It was traditonally a race for stayers to kick off their autumn campaigns, with past winners such at Talaq, Let's Elope, Jeune and Saintly included on the honour roll, however, more recent editions have mainly been dominated by sprinter/milers.
The C.F. Orr Stakes gained Group 1 status in 1993, although many famous winners precede that announcement, with Flight, Tobin Bronze, Manikato and Vo Rogue among the champions to have won this 1400m feature.
Tofane (2022), Jacquinot (2023) and Mr Brightside (2024) have won the last three editions of the C.F. Orr Stakes.
