The Blue Diamond Stakes is Victoria's premier two-year-old event and this major headlines one of the biggest days of the summer/autumn period in Melbourne, with three Group 1's contested on the Caulfield program.

2024 Blue Diamond Stakes Best Bet - Coleman
The form was franked from his impressive debut victory in the Debutant Stakes, with Arabian Summer now a two-time winner, while Aardvark saluted at Listed level last week.
Coleman was even more impressive on return, recording a 2.75 length win in the Chairman's Stakes and the Merson Cooper winner (Eneeza) was well held in second there.
A son of Pierata who is bred to get over a little more ground, the Matt Laurie-trained colt has been able to absorb the tempo in both victories and he does have tactical speed.
With respect to Switzerland, I think Coleman has been the most impressive two-year-old this season outside of Storm Boy and barrier seven is just about ideal in the Blue Diamond.
2024 Blue Diamond Stakes Next Best Bet - High Octane
The Team Snowden colt prevailed on debut despite doing so much wrong in that January 26 event, where he was on the wrong leg and then was wayward in the home straight.
As a result of that Blue Diamond Preview triumph, High Octane started as a well-backed fav in the Prelude (C&G) here a fortnight ago, where he was badly held-up at key stages.
Especially given the market respect for Bodyguard here, who had a saloon passage in that key lead-up, I'm happy to lean towards the son of Deep Field from that Prelude.
He appeared to have a lot of natural improvement to come following that debut performance and with barrier 10 a positive for this talented colt, he could easily atone on Saturday.
2024 Blue Diamond Stakes Value Bet - Traffic Warden
Godolphin do have a decent record in the Blue Diamond and while their 2024 representative is bred to get over more ground, he did bolt in over the 1000m here at start two.
Prior that December 16 win, Traffic Warden did run into Storm Boy on debut and while he was not match for him over 1100m, he did put more than four lengths on third.
James Cummings only gave the son of Street Boss one quiet trial leading into his February 3 return at Rosehill, where he did look fresh when racing in restricted room.
He also gave a wound-up Prost 3kg in that Canonbury Stakes clash and there's decent opinion of that winner, who is in the Golden Slipper market and he'd be single figures here.
