While she was well beaten in fifth when contesting the Australian Oaks on the seven day back-up, Arts was a brilliant winner prior to that in the Adrian Knox Stakes, which was only her second career start.

The Edward Cummings-trained filly drops back to 2000m in the Australasian Oaks and at $4.60 with Unibet Australia, she heads the betting for the first Group 1 of the Adelaide Autumn Carnival.

Perth raider She's Fit brings strong credentials from the west, with the Dan Morton filly winning the WA Oaks on March 25 prior to a third-place finish in the WATC Derby.

At $6, she heads Affaire A Suivre ($7), who took out the Port Adelaide Guineas on April 15 after contesting two strong maidens in Victoria to open her autumn campaign.

Another contender from the Maher & Eustace stable is Jennilala ($8) who won the Auraria Stakes on April 15, which is one of the key lead-up races to the Australasian Oaks.

Rounding out the single figure chances is Godolphin filly Sequestered ($9), who failed to handle a heavy track as a beaten fav in the Adrian Knox Stakes.

Australasian Oaks Winners

The Australasian Oaks is the first Group 1 of the Adelaide Autumn Carnival, with this 2000m fillies feature now headlining the opening major meeting, rather than sharing the card with the Sangster Stakes.

The first ever running of the Australasian Oaks in 1982 produced Rose of Kingston, the eventual Australian Horse of The Year.

This race has produced successful mares including Zarita, Lights of Heaven, May's Dream and Anamato, with the latter being the dam of current day champion - Anamoe.

Toffee Tongue (2020), Media Award (2021) and Glint Of Hope (2022) have won the last three editions of the Australasian Oaks.
