All-Star Mile 2022 Best Bet - I'm Thunderstruck
Barrier one scares me a lot, but I am still of the opinion (as I have all prep) that he is in the top two horses in this race on class based off last preps efforts and will only need clear air to win as this is Grand Final Day.
I'm Thunderstruck was not fit enough first-up, before proving unlucky not to finish third in the Futurity Stakes when blocked for a run on the fence.
The worry is that he may fall under the same circumstances needing luck at a crucial stage, but in these big Grand Final races, luck often falls in favour of the best horses.

All-Star Mile 2022 Next Best Bet - Zaaki
The proven best horse in this race, Zaaki will be much better suited second-up at the Flemington mile than what he was first-up, giving a lot of weight to the likes of Inspirational Girl along with a fitness edge.
Things swing back into his favour now and trainer Annabel Neasham can't wait see him over the mile rather than 2000m, thinking he would be a much more dynamic horse over this trip.
He has the turn of foot and tactical speed, he now just needs the cart across from Lightsaber (if he jumps) from the wide gate and he could simply be too good for them.

All-Star Mile 2022 Value Bet - Cascadian
The clear value in the race for mine, being a Doncaster winner over this trip and at his absolute peak fitness this prep, backing-up off an unlucky fifth placing in the Australian Cup last week.
Right when he was making his run last week, Cascadian had to check underneath heels which lost him all momentum in what was a genuinely run event.
He is a better horse in a genuinely run mile and with a beautiful smother from gate six, this is his peak day and frankly, I will be shocked if he misses the top four.
