The Group One Golden Slipper Stakes is Australia's premier two-year-old race and with four other group one features, headlines one of the biggest race days on the calendar.

Golden Slipper 2020 Best Bet - See You Soon @ $15.00

This filly will tune up for the Golden Slipper via either the Reisling or Black Opal Stakes this weekend following an excellent trial at Goulburn on March 3.

Prepared by the Jean Dubois stable, this two-year-old is a full sister to her handy stable mate Julian Rock and without offending her older sibling who's at minimum city class, this girl looked as though she could be anything in that first racing campaign.

Following an excellent debut win over five furlongs where class got her home over an unsuitably short trip, I have no doubt she would've won the strong Golden Gift prior to a spell with a better alley that day.

See You Soon is very much untapped compared to many of her potential rivals and could be the one ready to fire as the best bet in the 2020 Golden Slipper Stakes.

Golden Slipper 2020 Next Best Bet - Hanseatic @ $6.50

Despite tasting a narrow defeat in the Blue Diamond Stakes, this son of Street Boss is still currently the best two-year-old in the country.

Heading into his last start group one tilt as a popular favourite following two sensational victories via the Preview and Prelude, he had to settle for second behind the hearty Tagaloa on a day that was full of forgive runs.

Whilst he looked to the eye to have his chance, it was a tough card to make any winning run off the fence and despite being given every chance under Tim Clark, he's capable of bouncing back.

It's questionable as to how much upside is remaining with Hanseatic for this campaign, however the high pressure nature of a Golden Slipper will only suit his style and if right, he has to be respected.
