Gawler Racing Tips For March 18 - Can Lady Pavli Chenko salute in the last race?

Gawler hosts seven races on Wednesday which does look a nice card of racing.

The rail is in the true position and we are racing on a good four track.

Our best of the day comes in race seven while a horse in race five may have the favours in her corner this time around.

Gawler Best Bet

Race 7 No. 7 Lady Pavli Chenko

Based on her form from last preparation she will be mighty hard to beat in this race.

She was second first-up last prep behind a smart one in maiden company before going to to eventually break that duck over Heart Like Mine who is now city performed.

Taking on Iscariot, Little Rich Boy and Ethical Solution may have  been a touch to classy for her, but now finding herself in benchmark 56 grade, she is well suited for how she ran against those better performed runners.

If jockey Justin Potter can find the gaps from barrier four, he should be guiding this filly to a win as our best bet of the day at Gawler.

Gawler Next Best Bet

Race 5 No. 5 Diamond Tycoon

The margin she was beaten at Morphettville last start was not justified as she was held during the run, meaning she did not have a fair crack at them when she needed.

The start before this was on a heavy track which she does not handle, so they are both forgive runs.

Before that, she had put together a string of placings, including against Bajan and Kyshaka who would both be favourites in this race.

If she can find the breaks at the right time from gate seven, jockey Jason 'Stubby' Holder may be able to guide her to her fourth victory.
