A big nine race Country NSW card will be staged at Dubbo this Friday where mostly fine conditions are predicted on race day.

The rail is out 6m from the 1000m to the 400m and true for the remainder whilst the track is currently rated a Heavy 8.

Dubbo Best Bet - Race 3 No. 3 Previso

I suspect this gelding would be much shorter in this market with a better gate as he clearly brings the best form for what's a rather weak Maiden.

Prepared by trainer Mitch Beer who makes a big journey on Friday to Dubbo from Albury, Previso was beaten into third by what looks useful stable mate in Sunrise Ruby when resuming on June 29.

The form around that race reads rather well with the runner-up in Jack The Brumby narrowly going down to a handy Fenech the start prior (since won a Provincial race) whilst Pay The Deeler who was well held in that June 29 event, came out and broke his Maiden on July 6 at Wagga.

Previso's only second-up run to date was a third placing behind a subsequent Listed winner in Front Page and stripping fitter from that fresh attempt, he's clearly the one to beat here as the best bet at Dubbo on Friday.

Dubbo Value Bet - Race 7 No. 10 Ludivine

Whilst this mare is likely to improve once this second-up effort is behind her with a view to getting over a little more ground in time, the midfield effort first-up was a definite pass mark under the circumstances.

Todd Howlett has taken his time with this lightly-races five-year-old who broke through over the mile at start number three last time in and struck a slightly stronger Class 1 to what she faces here when narrowly defeated following that in October.

Ludivine drew out in her return at run Muswellbrook and given the start she spotted them as a consequence of that wide alley, the seventh placing when making late ground was fair.

From a better gate here where can take closer order under Mikayla Weir and with improvement expected, Ludivine is an each-way hope at a long price.

Dubbo Next Best Bet - Race 8 No. 3 Mathematics

This three-year-old is well placed on the country circuits this time of year where he's finding the wet tracks that he relishes and was a second-up winner here on June 28.

Trainer Allan Denham and star country jockey Greg Ryan are striking at 20% for this season whilst the Dubbo trips have been fruitful to date with this galloper who has brought up both career wins on this circuit and they have come by decent margins.

Form has come out of that last victory with Deshawn winning at Cowra on July 11 and whilst this is a little deeper on paper at Class 2 level, it's not a vintage race and he carries the same weight.

Mathematics can hold his form deeper into his work which was evident in that last campaign and being just third-up here, is well placed to bring up win number three.

Previso has the right form to be winning Race 3 and just needs a pinch of luck from the draw.

Mathematics was soft second-up winner and can go back-to-back in Race 8.

At a big price, Ludivine is worth a little each-way ticket in Race 7.
