TAB LONG MAY WE PLAY QTIS Two-Year-Old Fillies Maiden Plate Tips (Race 3)

Doomben Best Bet - Race 3 No. 5 Toorooloo

David Vandyke and Ryan Maloney have formed a powerful combination this season and they will combine once again with this exciting two-year-old filly.

The daughter of Tycoon Ruler was a trial star on her home track at the Sunshine Coast after Ryan Maloney held a vice-like grip as she weaved her way to an easy trial win on May.

Slightly slow out of the gates that day, Toorooloo found the rail and pinched inside runs before edging off the leaders heels and charging to the front despite Maloney's best efforts to hold her back.

Stepping out over the 1200m on debut, Maloney will enjoy a lovely smother from barrier one and off her trial form, looks as though she will be extremely hard to hold out as the best bet at Doomben.

THE VILLAGE KITCHEN ASCOT Class 4 Handicap Tips (Race 5)

Doomben Favourite - Race 5 No. 6 Lunar Light

Former South Australian galloper Lunar Light has found herself in the hands of Bryan and Daniel Guy after transferring to Queensland following this years Adelaide carnival.

The three-year-old daughter of Akeed Mofeed boasts a fantastic resume including a placing in the Group Two Armanasco Stakes behind La Tene at Caulfield in February.

Possessing the tactical speed to either go forward or settle with cover, the blinkers will be applied for the first time representing the stable's intent to get the filly back into winning form.

With star Queensland hoop Robbie Fradd booked from barrier one, expect Lunar Light to take the lead and prove very hard to hold out in her Queensland debut.

KIRIN BENCHMARK 70 Handicap Tips (Race 7)

Doomben Next Best Bet - Race 7 No. 4 Lashoni

A consistent mare from the Tony Gollan stable, Lashoni looks primed to bounce back in the winners circle over the 1350m after failing to handle the very wet conditions at Doomben last start.

In the near heavy conditions that day she jumped as a well supported favourite but dropped out badly finishing ten lengths off the winner.

Returning to Doomben, the four-year-old daughter of Shamus Award will importantly find a dry deck where all four of her wins have eventuated, including her latest over this exact track and trip in April.

Jumping from barrier ten, Brad Stewart climbs aboard for the airborne Gollan Stable and looks perfectly placed to breakthrough back into the winners circle.

XXXX DRY BENCHMARK 75 Handicap (Race 8)

Doomben Value Bet - Race 8 No. 4 Starkers

Chris Munce trained four-year-old gelding Starkers looks primed to breakthrough for a well deserved victory after nearly a year off the scene.

At his best, the son of Love Conquers All was able to compete against some of the best three-year-old milers in the country including Kolding, Pohutakawa, Baccarat Baby and Gem Song during last years Queensland Winter Carnival.

Since returning to the track, the bay gelding has slowly built his fitness and looks primed to breakthrough fourth-up off a strong last-start performance at the Gold Coast.

Drawn perfectly in barrier three, talented apprentice Justin Huxtible has been booked for the ride where he should find lead easily and prove hard to catch at the end of the card.
