Caulfield hosts a nine race card on Saturday with the rail positioned in the 12m mark, meaning it may be a positive to be closer to the pace than back in the field.

The headline act of the day is Harbour Views as he looks set to tackle the spring after this race, hoping to get his rating up high enough to compete for Group One glory.

Vale Graham Salisbury Handicap (Race 1)

Caulfield Favourite - Race 1 No. 1 Euphoric Summer

The proven two-year-old of the field heads the market after a strong second at Mornington last start.

Mick Price was talking during the week saying how strong this girl should be second-up, so there is stable confidence behind her chances.

She is regally bred, being out of Group One winner Mid Summer Music, but she will have to carry 61kg which may bring her back down so that she is not classes above them.

She has raced some of Australia's best 2YO's in Away Game and King's Legacy, and there does not look any Group One winners in this race.

Take It To The Neds Level Handicap (Race 3)

Caulfield Roughie - Race 3 No. 5 Deserved

As a Group Three place getter, $9 is well over the odds coming into this event.

First-up, she was impressive at Ballarat (20/5) on a heavy nine deck, bringing her fitness right up to scratch where she should be competitive here over 1440m.

Second-up last prep we saw her place third in the Jim Maloney Stakes at Caulfield, beaten under a length on a good surface, so we can gather that she is versatile when it comes to track conditions.

She has many ticks in her favour and in what looks an even race on paper, she looks a good each-way bet.

Neds Money Back Odds Handicap (Race 8)

Caulfield Best Bet - Race 8 No. 4 Harbour Views

Has the penny finally dropped for potential star Harbour Views?

His Moonee Valley win (13/6) says he is about to explode, showing an elite turn of foot over 2040m.

Straight after the race, Matthew Williams was talking Dato's and Cox Plate's which of course is the elite level, but he has promised something like that all through his career.

In this race, he stays at 2000m and he is one from one at the track, so all things looks to be heading his way.

If he produces a similar performance to last start, he wins this race, so the even money available makes him the best bet of the day.

Neds Toolbox Handicap (Race 9)
