On the front nine, it is betterball with each golfer playing their own ball and the best score for each team counting. Manning and Brady will each get a shot on one par-3, one par-4 and one par-5. 

On the back nine, it will be a modified alternative shot format. Both players will tee off and will choose one of the drives. From there, it is alternative shots.

Played at the Shadow Creek Golf Course in Las Vegas, Nevada, the winner take all format of the match saw the two golfers played 18 holes of match play. Following the 18th hole, the golfers halved in a playoff resulting in a 93 yard 20th hole being played. 

A prominently-promoted feature of the event were side-bets, which counted separately from the main purse. Both golfers would be able to make wagers on per-hole challenges, with examples such as closest to the pin and longest drive.
