Thirty-six of the world's top fifty golfers vie to lift The CJ Cup at The Summit Club. We look at the value bets for the PGA Tour event.
A star-studded field competes in the latest round of the PGA Tour, which includes 17 Ryder Cup players and five FedEx Cup winners. These are our top picks for the weekend.
Dustin Johnson was the star player for team USA at the recent Ryder Cup. He went 5-0 for the competition, becoming only the fifth golfer to achieve such a feat and the first American to do so since 1979.
The 2020 FedEx Cup winner has placed T8, Cut, T10, Cut, T6 and 8th in his last six starts. His big-hitting game is suited for The Summit golf course and he will be full of confidence to challenge for the win.
Justin Thomas is another member of the winning Ryder Cup team who returns to action this weekend.
Thomas convincingly beat Tyrell Hatton 4&3 during the Sunday singles matches and will want to carry that form into The CJ Cup.
He has placed 4th twice and had three top thirty finishes in his last five starts. The winner of this year's Players Championship will fancy his chances.
Xander Schauffele is having a great year. He captured gold at the 2021 Tokyo Olympic Games and was part of the USA Ryder Cup team that triumphed at Whistling Straits.
Schauffele has had one victory, two top 10 finishes and one top twenty finish in his last seven starts.
The runner-up at this event last year will be looking to go one better.
The long-shot pick for the weekend is Marc Leishman.
The Australian was victorious at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans early this year, and he is starting to come back into form again.
He has finished T4 and T3 in his last two starts and will be competitive during the tournament.
Johnson, Thomas and Schauffele all have claims for victory at the CJ Cup and are hackable each-way bets this weekend. Leishman is the long-shot value bet of the tournament.
