The Mallorca Golf Open completes the final leg of the Spanish Swing when it takes place in Santa Ponsa from October 21-24.

The European Tour returns to Mallorca for the first time since 2011 and after a 23-year absence at Golf Santa Ponsa.

These are our top selections for the Mallorca Golf Open.

Thomas Pieters

Although Thomas Pieters missed the cut at the recent Andalucian Masters, he does have good tournament form having finished T18, T9, T9, T39 before that.

The Belgian has won four times on the European Tour and will fancy his chances in this field.

Laurie Canter

Laurie Canter was top of the leaderboard at the start of play at the Andalucian Masters on Sunday but could not put in a solid final round of golf to claim his first European Tour win.

He finished a credible fourth, and with his runner-up place at the BMW PGA Championship in September, the Englishman looks ready to challenge for his first title yet again.

Alexander Bjork

Alexander Bjork has been consistent in the last half of this year. The Swede has placed T13, Cut, T27, T45 and T4 in his previous five tournaments.

Bjork will be looking to claim his second European Tour title and is a value each-way option.

Ryan Fox

Ryan Fox is the dark horse for the tournament. The New Zealander has been in good form lately and cannot be ignored in this type of field.

Fox has finished T63, T13, T54, T24 and T4 in his last five golf tournaments, and is a great chance to win if building on his recent efforts.

Verdict

Pieters, Canter and Bjork all have a chance for victory at the Mallorca Gold Open this weekend and are backable each-way bets.

Fox has the form to cause an upset and is a worthy long-shot value bet for the tournament.
