Brooks Koepka returns to defend his title after a playoff victory over Talor Gooch in 2023 and will attempt to win the tournament for the third consecutive time.

Current top-ten in the individual points standings after two rounds:

1. Dustin Johnson 54.33 pts
2. Joaquin Niemann 40 pts
3. Jon Rahm 33 pts
4. Talor Gooch 30.50 pts
5. Sergio Garcia 30 pts
6. Peter Uihlein 27 pts
7. Paul Casey 21.83 pts
8. Dean Burmester 21 pts
9. Brooks Koepka 20.33 pts
10. Matthew Wolff 18 pts

These are our four selections that could win the title this weekend.

Jon Rahm

Jon Rahm had an excellent start to life on the LIV Golf Tour, placing T3 in Mayakoba and a solid T8 in Las Vegas.

Before that, Rahm was in superb form on the PGA Tour and DP World Tour, winning the Sentry Tournament of Champions, the American Express, the Genesis Invitational and the Masters.

He also finished T4 at the CJ Cup, T8 at the Hero World Challenge, T7 at the Farmers Insurance Open, 3rd at the WM Phoenix Open, 2nd at the Mexico Open, T10 at the US Open, T2 at the Open Championship, 4th at the BMW PGA Championship, T9 at the Open de Espana and T5 at the DP World Tour Championship.

The former world number one is debuting at the 2024 LIV Golf Invitational Series in Jeddah.

Rahm has yet to secure his maiden LIV Golf League title but will have a chance to pocket the winner's cheque after his two recent results.

Dustin Johnson

Dustin Johnson has had the perfect beginning to his new season, placing T5 in Mayakoba before securing his third LIV Golf League title in Las Vegas.

Before that success, Johnson had solid form on the LIV Golf Tour, finishing T11 in Bedminster, T9 in Chicago and T6 in Jeddah.

Other prominent performances achieved by Johnson last season include placing T13 in Tucson, 7th in Orlando, 10th in Adelaide, victory in Tulsa, T10 at the US Open, T8 at Valderrama and 5th in London.

The former two-time Major winner has a superb record at the Royal Greens Golf and Country Club, winning the Saudi International (Asian Tour) in 2019 and 2021, including runner-up in 2020 and T8 in 2022.

Additionally, he placed T5 in 2022 and T6 in 2023 at the LIV Golf Invitational Series in Jeddah.

Johnson will have a chance to add another LIV Golf trophy to his cabinet, as he has a proven track record on this golf course.

Talor Gooch

Talor Gooch has had an excellent start to his defence of the LIV Golf League individual champions title, placing T15 at Mayakoba and T2 in Las Vegas.

Before those results, Gooch was not far off from securing another victory, finishing T7 in Greenbrier, T11 in Bedminster, T5 in Chicago, W/D Alfred Dunhill Links Championship (DP World Tour), second in Jeddah and T42 at the Hong Kong Open.

Other noteworthy performances achieved by Gooch last season include winning in Adelaide, Singapore, and Valderrama. Additionally, he placed T13 in Tucson, T16 in Orlando and T15 in DC.

The 32-year-old American placed T12 in 2022 and second in 2023 at the LIV Golf Invitational Series in Jeddah.

Gooch will fancy his chances to secure his first title in 2024 after his recent displays on the golf course.

Sebastian Munoz

Sebastian Munoz has enjoyed a solid start to his new season in the LIV Golf League, finishing T13 in Mayakoba, T9 in Las Vegas and T38 at the International Series in Oman (Asian Tour).

Other notable results achieved by Munoz during his debut season on the LIV Golf Tour in 2023 include placing 2nd in Orlando, T4 in DC, 4th at Valderrama, T12 in Greenbrier and 4th in Chicago.

The Colombian finished a disappointing T40 overall at the 2023 LIV Golf Invitational Series in Jeddah.

Munoz has been thereabouts in his last two starts on the LIV Golf Tour and could cause an upset victory in Saudi Arabia.

An invitational field of 54 golfers will feature at the tournament, with a total purse of $25 million up for grabs. $4 million will go to the winner, while the player coming in last will pocket $50,000.

The players will contest 54 holes instead of 72 for all the LIV Golf Invitational Series events.

A shotgun start will occur, where the players will tee off simultaneously from different holes.

A 13-four-man team (four players each and two wild-card players) format will run concurrent, with the top three teams earning prize money.

Rahm has all the credentials to come out on top at the Royal Greens Golf and Country Club this weekend.

Johnson is back to his best and will have an excellent chance to secure back-to-back LIV Golf Tour titles, as he loves playing on this golf course.

Gooch went close in his last start and will look to go one better in Saudi Arabia this weekend.

Munoz has the form to win his first LIV Golf League title and is the long-shot value bet in Jeddah.
