Faze Clan vs ENCE Tips

Faze Clan have started IEM Dallas the way one expected them to. An easy 16-5 opening win against Encore set them on the path towards being the early pace-setters.

As expected, Twistzz led the way in terms of their offensive proficiency - racking up 25 kills, 7 deaths and 3 assists to end with a rating of 3.57.

His impact over the map was such that Karrigan hardly needed to make his presence felt. Faze didn’t even need to flex their muscle to secure a comfortable victory. Just when it seemed like an opportunity against LookForOrg would help them consolidate, the game got cancelled.

That was hardly a sour note for the favourites, as they returned to the arena to overcome Vitality 16-11 and 16-10 in a dominating two-game outing. That brings them to their potentially toughest game yet, against ENCE.

Faze Form

Faze are coming in having won back-to-back-to-back titles at IEM Katowice, ESL Pro Season-15 and PGL Major Antwerp. In terms of rosters, they have the best there is going around currently in the CS: GO arena.

Given their recent results, it only seems natural that a title win at IEM Dallas is waiting to happen. Faze have two out of the four IEM/ESL tournament wins, and IEM Dallas will help them add another. If Faze do live up to the top billing, they would have had given themselves the best chance to claim the coveted Intel Grand Slam.

That said, there are a few good sides that can beat Faza on any given day, so they will need to watch out for complacency.  However, if Faze show up nearly as strong as they’ve been over the past few months, it’s likely they will be hoisting another trophy, their fourth of the year.

Just like Faze, ENCE have begun with wins over MOUZ and G2, but have a bit of catching up to do in terms of their overall proficiency level. That said, this is unlikely to be a one-sided fare. While the win over MOUZ was expected and fairly one-sided, G2 pushed them right upto the limit before they squeezed both games 16-14.

If map 1 was about dycha’s strengths - he ended with 26 kills, 18 deaths and 5 assists along with a rating of 1.44, which made his presence felt in the second map. He racked up 24 kills, 17 deaths and 3 assists, while Hades had 19 kills.

The signs are promising. ENCE are slowly emerging as a team that isn’t dependent on any one single player. This bodes well for their immediate future and beyond. But they are simply no match for the might of Faze and their recent form in this one.
