Brisbane opener Grace Harris scored an unbeaten 81*. In the second match the Heat won by three wickets with four balls to spare. 

Georgia Redmayne scored an influential 37 runs for the Heat and Tess Flintoff was very good with ball in hand for the Stars, finishing with 3/17 off four overs.

On Wednesday, the Stars defeated the Sixers by 30 runs in a shock defeat. 

Annabel Sutherland was named best on ground with 57 runs and one wicket to her name. Maia Boucher (32*) and Kim Garth (24*) were also vital in the win.  

Kim Garth was the best Melbourne bowler with three wickets, while Tess Flintoff picked up two. 

In their previous match they lost by 63 runs to the Hurricanes after being bowled out for 89.
