India have kept their 2020/2021 series versus Australia at a 1-1 tie with a fighting draw in the third test at the SCG where despite injuries and key wickets falling early, they battled it out late with Hanuma Vihari and Ravichandran Ashwin remaining at the crease for more than 30 overs following the strong earlier partnership between Cheteshwar Pujara and Rishabh Pant.

This contest has lived up to the pre-series hype and is well placed ahead of the fourth and final test at the Gabba which Australia will need to win in order to get back the Border-Gavaskar Trophy while India only need a draw given they have the trophy currently.
