Australia vs India Tips
The value for this match is with the in-form batsmen. Ajinkya Rahane's 112 runs in the 2nd Test will give him plenty confidence, while Labuschagne has been the one Aussie batsman to show some form.

- Australia’s Will Puvocski has scored 200+ runs in 2 of his last 3 First Class innings.

Head to Head
India lead Australia 5-2 in their last nine Test matches along with two draws. India won their last match by 8 wickets at the MCG. The series is now level at 1-1 with two matches to play.
Australia Form
Australia will be very disappointed with their display at the MCG in the 2nd Test, particularly after winning the 1st Test. The series is now level at 1-1 with the Aussies desperate to retake the lead.
In both Test matches Australia’s batsmen have been short of where they need to be. Batting first in Melbourne the Aussies only managed 195 runs, to which India responded with 326 runs.
In the second innings Australia didn’t do much better as they only managed 200 runs, setting India a total of 70 to win. The visitors achieved that with eight wickets left standing.
No Australian batsman managed to score 50+ in the second Test. Marnus Labuschagne came closest with his 48 runs in the first innings.
Australia Team News
Joe Burns has been dropped from the squad after a string of poor performances. David Warner has returned to the squad, as has young sensation Will Pucovski who has been cleared from concussion.
Warner and Pucovski should open the batting with Matthew Wade perhaps replacing Travid Head.
India Form
India will be buoyed by their 2nd Test victory after suffering a horror show in the 1st Test.
Jasprit Bumrah bowled magnificently in the 1st innings in Melbourne, taking 4-56 as Australia were all out for 195 runs. India responded superbly with 326 runs as stand-in captain, Ajinkya Rahane top scored with 112 runs.
In their second bowling innings it was debutant Mohammed Siraj who was the pick of the bowlers, taking 3-37. The hosts were dismissed for 200 runs, leaving India needing 70 runs to win.
Shubman Gill scored 35 and Rahane 27 to steer India to an eight wicket victory.
India Team News
Virat Kohli will not be returning to Australia for the final two matches. KL Rahul has also been ruled out of the series with a wrist injury.
Rohit Sharma has joined the squad after quarantine and could come in for the misfiring Mayank Agarwal.
India lost yet another fast bowler to injury in the 2nd Test. Umesh Yadav will not feature again in the series after Mohammed Shami was ruled out after the 1st Test.
T Natarajan has joined the squad to replace Yadav but Kartik Tyagi is likely to come into the starting team.
