Bangladesh won’t change much with their team. The pitch is providing plenty of assistance to the spin bowlers so we are unlikely to see changes in that department.
New Zealand Form
New Zealand arrived in Bangladesh knowing exactly what to expect after watching the hosts dismantle Australia recently. That however did not help with New Zealand bowled out for a measly 60 runs in the 1st ODI.
They could not handle the slow and spinning nature of the pitch in Dhaka. Tom Latham and Henry Nicholls both scored 18 runs, no other batsman passed the five-run mark.
The Black Caps were all out before the completion of the 17th over. Ajaz Patel made life difficult for the Bangladesh batsmen, bowling his four overs for just seven runs and taking one wicket. Unfortunately with only 60 to defend the home batsmen could take their time and avoid any risks.
New Zealand Team News
Finn Allen has returned to the New Zealand bubble after two negative COVID tests. He should add some firepower to the struggling lineup.
