Australia host India in the 3rd and final T20 at the SCG on Tuesday. The series has already been won by India which means they may rest key players for this encounter. Can Australia avoid a series whitewash on home soil?
Australia needed a better performance in the 2nd T20 after losing the opening match to India in Canberra. While there was improvement on the batting front, the bowling let the hosts down as India went on to win the series with a match to spare.
Batting first at the SCG, the Aussies scored a very good 195 runs. Matthew Wade top scored with a blistering 58 runs at the top of the innings while Steven Smith added 46 runs.
The bowlers however failed to back the batsmen up as India got home with two balls to spare to win by six wickets.
With the series lost Australia will be keen to not suffer a 3-0 whitewash on home soil but they will have to produce a far better all round performance.
