Australia vs England T20I series preview: Squads and how to watch and stream

Australia will head into their series in England against the Poms high on confidence after a dominant showing against Scotland the week prior.

The Aussies will be better off for the run against the Scots after a few months break since the ICC T20I World Cup where they performed under their standard and were knocked out by losses to Afghanistan and India in the Super Eight stage.

The English will head into the T20 series with Australia after a semifinal loss to India in the World Cup. However, different to the Aussies, England have still been playing cricket, coming off a sweep of the West Indies and Sri Lanka in the test format.

Australia will have the same squad that took on Scotland with just one change as paceman Josh Hazlewood returns with Riley Meredith flying home.

England will start a new era with the white ball after Matthew Mott was sacked after the World Cup with Marcus Trescothick taking over. Veterans Jonny Bairstow and Moeen Ali have been dropped from the squad directly and five uncapped players have been named.

Left-arm seamer Josh Hull, all-rounder Jacob Bethell and pace bowler John Turner have been selected for the T20s and ODIs, while Dan Mousley and Jordan Cox will play in just the T20s. England will also rest captain Jos Butler for the T20I series against Australia with opener Phil Salt taking over his duties.

With both teams fielding young squads with a slight change of guard it sets up for a real exciting series and a great preview for the 5-game one-day international series that will follow.
