Victoria Form
Victoria fell to a hugely damaging innings and 10 run defeat to Queensland in their last Sheffield Shield game as they were completely outplayed.
After scoring just 63 runs in their first innings, they gave themselves a glimmer of hope as Scott Boland (3/41) helped to restrict Queensland to just 205 runs. However, they once again fell apart with the bat as Will Sutherland top scored with 48 as they were bowled out for just 132 to complete a loss by an innings and 10 runs.
That loss means that they are already 16 points short of the top. Victoria will be desperate to finally get a win on the board after drawing three of their four games, but can they finally get a morale-boosting win?
Tasmania Form
Tasmania have found it tough to get going this year, with a single win in four disappointing. Their last game saw the side held to a draw by New South Wales. Tasmania notched a decent score of 333 all out as Matthew Wade top scored with a sparkling 146.
Riley Meredith then starred with the ball as he took 4/65 to restrict NSW to just 216/7 declared. Tasmania then battled it out for a draw as they scored 176/2, with Tim Ward (90 not out) and Matthew Wade (41) starring.
Despite a decent performance with bat and ball in their last game, Tasmania have really struggled to pick up wins. Against a Victoria side in no form right now, they will target a much-needed win.
