Perth Scorchers vs Brisbane Heat Tips - Scorchers to bounce back in fiery battle

The Brisbane Heat have won three of their last five matches against the Perth Scorchers. The Scorchers won their last match against the Heat by 34 runs in January 2020.

The Perth Scorchers are fourth on the BBL table but it is all very tight at the top with second and seventh place split by four points.

The Scorchers have been in great form of late but suffered their first defeat in six matches last time out. Batting first against the Sydney Sixers in Canberra, the Scorchers managed to amass a total of 163 runs.

Liam Livingstone top scored with 67 runs, the second time in a row that he has past 50. Colin Munro added 34 and Jason Roy 21 runs. 

The Sixers made light work of the run chase to win by seven wickets with an over to spare.

The Perth Scorchers have won five of their last six matches so are likely to stick with the players who’ve got them there.

Opening batsmen, Jason Roy and Liam Livingstone have transformed this Scorchers side since joining and will once again be key players.

The Brisbane Heat come into this match placed fifth on the Big Bash table, one point behind their opponents.

In their last match the Heat beat the Melbourne Renegades by five wickets in Canberra. The Renegades managed an under par total of 149 as Mark Steketee was once again the pick of the Heat bowlers, taking 2-24.

The Brisbane Heat replied with Chris Lynn scoring 50 runs to win by five wickets. Joe Burns took the man of the match award for a late flurry of runs where he scored 31 off 15 balls to steer the Heat home.

The Brisbane Heat won’t be looking to make many changes to their side. Morne Morkel is set to retain his place after coming into the side in the last match.

Joe Burns could move up the order after his exploits against the Melbourne Renegades.
