The Brisbane Heat struggled throughout the end of BBL09 where the lost their last three matches in a row to finish near the bottom of the ladder.
The Heat have transferred that form over to BBL10. They lost their first match against the Melbourne Stars, before snatching defeat from the jaws of victory against the Sydney Thunder last game.
Despite having the Thunder 3/22 and 5/80 chasing 168 to win, the Heat bowlers failed to capitalise on their lead. They lost with seven balls to spare after Ben Laughlin was hit for four sixes in the 19th over.

Mitchell Swepson is still with the Australian camp and will be unavailable for selection.
Adelaide Strikers Form
After collapsing heavily with the bat in game one of their season against the Hobart Hurricanes, the Adeide Strikers returned to form with a big win against in a rematch two nights later.
But they were unable to combat an unbelievable Dan Christian innings when going down to the Sydney Sixers over the weekend.
Coinciding with the return of skipper Alex Carey, the Strikers top order has become much more potent despite the absence of Travis Head who is currently on international duties. They still need international signing Phil Salt to find some form if they are to challenge for the title.
The Strikers bowlers have been in terrific form so far this campaign led by Peter Siddle, who recorded a five wicket haul over the Hurricanes in game two, while Daniel Worrall recorded 18 dot balls last game against the Sixers.
