Sydney Thunder international Alex Hales turned around a slow start to BBL10 with a monstrous 71 off 29 against the Melbourne Stars in Canberra.
After a slow start to BBL10, the Thunder were hoping to see their English international find some form and that they did, with Hales producing the fastest half-century in Sydney Thunder history.
Belting five massive sixes including one out of the ground, Hales dominated the Stars bowlers, especially taking a liking towards Australian international bowler Adam Zampa.
With both the Sydney Thunder and Melbourne Stars coming into Tuesday's match on the back of three consecutive victories, the Stars won the toss and elected to bowl but had no answer to the Thunder batsmen.
Smashing 7/219 off their 20 overs, the Thunder bowled the Stars out for 144 to secure equal-second atop the BBL ladder.
