The fifth and final Ashes Test will take place at the Oval in London across the latter part of July, with both sides still battling for a big win in the final Test.

England arrive as the favourites with bookmaker bet365 at $2.30 to secure a victory that will see the home side draw the series 2-2. Can Australia win the Ashes series in England in 2023?

England are the favourites coming into the final Test of the 2023 Ashes at $2.30, with Australia just behind them at $2.63. The draw is also available at $4.00.

The series currently sees Australia leading 2-1 with one Test to come. As the Aussies arrived in England already holding the urn, they have been able to retain the trophy as England can no longer win the series with a single Test at the Oval to come.

The fourth Test at Old Trafford saw England knowing they have to win the match to give themselves a chance of winning the Ashes. Having bowled Australia out for just 317, England flew to 592 in reply before having Australia teetering at 214/5.

However, the rain came in and saved the touring side, with this draw enough to see them retain the Ashes. Now, both sides can reset ahead of the fifth and final test at the Oval, with the pair still having something to play for.

For Australia, an outright series win is on the cards, and they can either win 3-1 if they are triumphant at the Oval, or they can win 2-1 if the fifth Test ends in a draw. England will target a series draw, with victory in London seeing the battle end 2-2.

Despite the fourth Test seeing the best part of two days rained off, the Ashes series has still exceeded the hype that was placed around it. England have continued to champion their aggressive and attacking style of play, while Australia have played their part.

The final Test will prove to be David Warner's final Ashes match, while England's James Anderson could also play in his final Ashes match. Will Warner depart with an Ashes series victory, or will it be Anderson and England that secure a draw to make it 2-2?
