Tasmania JackJumpers vs Perth Wildcats NBL25 Tips
Tasmania will be riding high following their heroic win over Adelaide. Unfortunately my expectation is that they will fall flat at home against the Wildcats who are an elite offensive outfit.
The JackJumpers OT win over the 36ers was one of the most epic finishes to a game this season. The crowd and players exerted so much energy it is difficult seeing them getting back up just 2 days later to stop this rampaging Wildcats offence.
Perth are leading the league in scoring over their last 10 games, averaging 107.5 points per game while going 7-3. They have only beaten 1 team in the top 6 during that streak but the offence has been indiscriminate.
They will most definitely have a harder time scoring against the top rated Tasmania defence who allow just 84.9 pts per game to opponents this season but as we saw last game with Adelaide there are kinks in that defence.
Take the Wildcats laying the points as favourites despite their mediocre road record. Perth Team Total over 94.5 is also a top pick with Bryce Cotton leading the charge.
- Teams on 2 days rest are 20-23 straight up this season.
- Tasmania have allowed 2 of the top 3 highest opponent totals this season in their last 3 games.
- Perth have allowed an average of 100.6 points to their opponent over their last 10 games, 2nd worst in the league.
- Perth Game Totals have gone Over in 10 of their last 12 matches.

Offensive & Defensive Rankings
Tasmania JackJumpers Form & Team News
Tasmania took an elite OT win over Adelaide on Friday with a number of clutch possessions from their stars. The Ants were 5 points down with 30 seconds remaining. Majok Deng was the recipient of a Jordan Crawford fast break pass for a dunk to cut it to three then took an intercept in the Adelaide backcourt for a spot up 3 to push the game to OT.
With only seconds remaining in the extra term Deng wrapped up Montrezl Harrell causing a jump ball in their favour. Milton Doyle had a put-back off a Deng miss with 0.2 seconds remaining on the clock to secure the victory.
The 104-103 scoreline was Tasmania’s highest team total this season with 9 of those points coming in OT. The 36ers total was also the third highest opposition number of the season for the league’s best ranked defensive team.
Deng’s 26 points was his 3rd highest total of his NBL career and highest since he scored 26 in Round 1 of the 22-23 season.
Perth Wildcats Form & Team News
The Perth Wildcats find themselves 3rd in the standings thanks to a solid period where they have taken 7 wins in their last 10 games. When we scratch a little deeper than the surface it also coincides with an easier than average schedule.
6 of the Wildcats wins and 1 of their losses have been against the bottom 4 ranked teams in the league. The only victory against a top 6 ranked team was the 97-84 win over SEM on Nov 15th. They have lost to Illawarra twice and Brisbane once through this period.
They have won just 2 of 7 games played against current top 4 opponents (Ill, Mel, Syd) and with half of their remaining games against top 6 opponents playing winning basketball will be instrumental to their final seeding.
Perth lead the league in scoring over the past 10 games putting up 107.5 points per outing scoring over 110 on 6 occasions. Defensively though they are 2nd last in the league with a whopping 100.6 points allowed to their opponent.
