Denver Nuggets vs LA Lakers NBA Basketball Betting Tips - Nuggets all around in Downtown LA

Denver travel to LA in a one game road trip after securing two important wins at home agains the Sacramento Kings and Miami Heat. Prior to this 5 game winning streak that the Nuggets are on they had lost 3 in a row with two of those losses coming against the Kings. The team has blown out the cobwebs from the periodic form slump and will be ready to take on the Lakers who they have beaten in 7 straight games including their 4-0 sweep in last years playoffs.

The Lakers come into this game with a renewed vigour having won 9 of their last 12 games. They were able to beat the Celtics, Knicks and Clippers during the run but one of the three losses they suffered was just against the Denver Nuggets 114-106 at Crypto Arena.

The Nuggets offensive capabilities far outweigh the Lakers defensive structure and my expectation is that this game will not be close.

The series was split 2-2 with each team holding home court. Denver have covered 6 of the last 10 games and the Over/Under has gone 3-7-0 across the same period. 

Denver are gearing for yet another Play-Offs run with their team edging closer and closer to peak performance for every week. 

The Nuggets are 10th in Rebounding and 5th in Assists showcasing their top level performance across the court. 

Denver are 1 game behind Minnesota for top seed in the Western Conference but are very unlikely to drop out of the top 4.

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Jamal Murray are both listed as questionable at time of publishing.

The Lakers will need to ensure they stay consistent on the defensive end if they are to have any chance at beating the Nuggets on Sunday. They allowed 131 points to the Wizards last game and haven’t held a team under 100 since December 7. 

The next 7 games for LA are all against teams with a better record than themselves with three of those games against teams also vying for Play-Off/Play-In seeding in the Western Conference.

LeBron James is questionable but he has had two full days rest so should be right to go.
