The Milwaukee Bucks took the NBA championship last season and start among the favourite in 2021/22. Who will win the NBA title?

The Brooklyn Nets have been building towards their maiden NBA title a few years now after making the playoffs in the last three seasons.

The Nets have spent big over the last few years acquiring James Harden, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durrant.

However, even with those additions they could only make it to the Conference semifinals, going down to eventual winners the Milwaukee Bucks last season.

Now the Nets may have finally landed the last piece of the puzzle following the addition of Patty Mills to the squad and it could just be what coach Steve Nash needs to finally land the NBA championship.

NBA Regular Season MVP

Last season saw Denver Nuggets centre Nikola Jokić take out the MVP for the regular season. This year, Luka Doncic is my tip to take out the MVP.

Doncic has had a stellar year scoring 27.7 points, having a field goal percentage of 47.9%, collecting 8.0 rebounds per game, 8.6 assists per game and on top of that he led Slovenia to a fourth place finish in the Tokyo Olympics.

Doncic is ready to reach the next level and showed signs last season but he is only going to get better.

Verdict

NBA 2021/22 Season

After a few years of making the playoffs but not quite getting to the NBA Finals, the Nets now appear to have the final piece of the puzzle and are ready to take that elusive step.

In terms of the MVP for the regular season, Luka Doncic has shown signs of why he should be in contention. If last season and his Olympic form is anything to go by, then this season could see him claim the award.
