Kansas have won seven straight games to establish themselves as a serious contender for the National Championship.

The Jayhawks dropped a couple of games late in the regular season, but bounced back with a couple of wins before the conference tournament.

The built on those victories by going all the way in the Big 12 tournament.

Having blown out West Virginia 87-63 and downed TCU 75-62, Kansas clinched the crown with a 74-65 win over #14 Texas Tech in the final.

The Jayhawks then made it six wins on the bounce as they kicked off their March Madness campaign with a commanding win.

Kansas routed Texas Southern 83-56 in the first round, and then advanced to the Sweet 16 with a 79-72 win over Creighton.

Remy Martin shone off the bench as he registered 20 points and seven rebounds, while Jalen Wilson had 14 points and 14 rebounds in a double double.

Providence Form

Providence are in solid form and have a healthy record against top 25 teams so far this season.

The Friars went 4-2 against ranked teams during the regular season, with their two defeats being narrow ones against Villanova.

And despite those losses they finished ahead of Villanova in the Big East standings with a 14-3 record.

That did not translate into conference tournament success though, as they lost 85-58 to Creighton after ousting Butler in the first round.

Providence rebounded in round one of March Madness, however, downing South Dakota State 66-57.

They then followed that up with a 79-51 demolition of Richmond to secure a spot in the Sweet 16.

Four of their five starters hit double figures in scoring, with Noah Horchler leading the way with 16 points along with 14 rebounds.
