Port Adelaide vs Richmond Tigers Tips
An absolute pearler looks set for Friday night footy between the two top sides in premiership betting, both coming into this match off the back of disappointing losses.
Port Adelaide were outplayed in Perth against the West Coast Eagles while Richmond faced a young Sydney Swans side who seemed more hungry in the contest.
With home advantage, Port Adelaide are tipped to win with the Tigers having a couple of little injury concerns throughout the club.
- Port Adelaide have won 7 of their last 8 matches at Adelaide Oval
- Port Adelaide's last 2 wins over Richmond Tigers have been by 1-39 points
- Richmond won by one goal the last time the two teams faced each other
Head to Head
Richmond Tigers hold the recent advantage from their last seven encounters with five, while Port Adelaide managed to beat them here last year and again at the Adelaide Oval in 2018.
Port Adelaide fans will have plenty of memories of last season's preliminary final where they went down by a goal to miss out on a spot in the Grand Final.
Port Adelaide Form
The Power kicked off the season with a bang, beating up two of the weakest sides in the compeititon in North Melbourne and Essendon Bombers.
But they did flop against West Coast Eagles last week when playing in Perth. The Eagles were 108-71 winners in Round 3.
Port Adelaide have only had the one home game this season, and against Richmond the crowd seems to go up a peg which will be a real advantage.
Port Adelaide Team News
The good news is that Port Adelaide had no injuries in the senior side last week, but Tom Rockliff was concussed in the SANFL and will have to sit another week on the sidelines due to the new AFL protocol.
In one change, defender Lachie Jones comes in for his debut. Miles Bergman and Peter Ladhams are omitted although the latter on standby with Todd Marshall named despite nursing an ankle problem.

Richmond Tigers Form
The reigning premiers started off the season hungry, beating Carlton and comfortably holding Hawthorn in the opening two rounds.
But Richmond got rolled by a young and hungrier Sydney Swans team packed full of talent at the MCG last week. The Swans were 117-72 winners.
The big Tigers stars did not show up, with Dustin Martin average, Trent Cotchin battling injury and Noah Balta below his best. All three are key players who they need firing.
The Tigers forward line was good with Tom Lynch, Daniel Rioli and Jack Riewoldt combining for six goals, but they just need more from their midfield which they simply did not get last week.
Richmond Tigers Team News
Richmond have swung the axe with Josh Caddy, Daniel Rioli and Derek Eggmolesse-Smith all left out after last week's loss.
Bachar Houli is available for his first game of the season after injury. Jack Ross comes in and Will Martyn and Rhyan Mansell are handed their debuts.
Dion Prestia has done his hamstring and will miss up to a month of footy, while Nick Vlastuin is still a month-plus away from returning. Kamdyn McIntosh will be up to a fortnight away from a return.
