Geelong Cats vs North Melbourne Tips

The Geelong Cats were left to rue what might have been as they failed to make it two wins in a row as they had to settle for a 54-54 stalemate with the Sydney Swans last week.

They should be much too good for the North Melbourne Kangaroos, who were beaten once again in their last match as the Adelaide Crows took the win in a 138-72 victory.

Head to Head

The Cats have managed to win the last 10 matches in a row between the sides including a crushing 144-32 win in July 2022.

Geelong Cats Form

The Geelong Cats failed to build on the momentum they created following their 78-63 win over the Melbourne Demons, as they trundled to a draw against the Sydney Swans.

While they were able to avoid defeat, it continued a theme of the Cats not being able to consistently win this year.

That is underlined by their position on the ladder, with the reigning premiers currently sitting in ninth.

Geelong Cats Team News

The Cats have resisted bringing Jeremy Cameron back from concussion, but Mark O'Connor is fit again after an adductor strain.

Oisin Mullin also comes back into the Cats side with Jake Kolodjashnij and Jed Bews injured and Isaac Smith managed.

North Melbourne Form

North Melbourne have been awful this home and away season, winning just two of their 15 matches.

Currently spared the bottom of the ladder spot by the West Coast Eagles, the Kangaroos are on a 13-game losing run, with their last win coming back in late March.

North Melbourne Team News

Father-son selection Cooper Harvey makes his AFL debut as he comes into the Roos side along with Tristan Xerri, Lachie Young and Flynn Perez.

Liam Shiels is out injured, while Will Phillips, Todd Goldstein and Jack Ziebell are left out.

With the Kangaroos in such poor form, I am backing the Cats to come away with a resounding win.
