Western Australian footy takes centre stage this Sunday as the Dockers and the Eagles renew hostilities at Optus Stadium.
Both teams bring momentum into this one after ending their Queensland hub tenure with back-to-back wins, but which team will take home the bragging rights in this year's Western Derby?
Fremantle Form & Team News
After a disappointing start to the season which saw them drop their opening five games of 2020, the Dockers have produced back-to-back wins, firstly over the Crows then a spirited victory over the Saints in round six. Fremantle were almost out of the game at quarter time but they delivered a stunning turnaround to overturn a six goal deficit.
The bad news for the Dockers is that Nat Fyfe will miss the Western Derby with a hamstring injury.

West Coast Form & Team News
After a lacklustre start to their 2020 campaign the Eagles are now rolling following strong wins over Sydney and Adelaide. While neither win was as comprehensive as coach Adam Simpson would have liked, the Eagles now return to Perth where it is unlikely they will leave for the remainder of the season.
In a big boost for West Coast, captain Luke Shuey looks set to regain his place in the team after overcoming a hamstring injury.

Fremantle vs West Coast Head to Head

Fremantle vs West Coast Betting Odds
West Coast is the $1.30 favourite heading into this contest, with Fremantle the $3.40 outsiders.
The Dockers get a +20.5 head start on Sunday.
Fremantle vs West Coast Match Up
Stopping Jack Darling is the main objective heading into Sunday for the Dockers.
Darling has been quiet by his standards to start the season but he makes a habit of starring in the Western Derby, booting three or more goals in his last four matches against Fremantle. Luke Ryan likely the man for the job and if he can quell Darling's influence, the Dockers are a big chance of causing an upset.
Fremantle vs West Coast Key Stats
- A win on Sunday for the Eagles would make it ten-straight over the Dockers
- Jack Darling has kicked three or more goals in his last four games against the Dockers
- Andrew Gaff has failed to get 30+ possessions just once in his last eight games against the Dockers
