2024's iteration of the AFL is finally here, with one of the most popular competitions in Australia likely to bring another season of thrills and spills.

With this in mind, bookmaker bet365 have priced the Sydney Swans as the favourites to win the AFL Grand Final at $3.50.

AFL Grand Final Winner
Sydney Swans$3.50
Carlton Blues$5.50
Collingwood Magpies$5.50
GWS Giants$8.50
Geelong Cats$14.00
Port Adelaide$21.00
Rest of the field$23.00+

The Swans have been excellent thus far, winning 12 of their opening 13, with this seeing the side installed as the outright favourites at $3.50, while they also top the ladder.

The Carlton Blues are next at $5.50 after notching nine wins from their opening 13. The GWS Giants and Collingwood Magpies are the only other sides available at $10.00 or less.

The new season has already thrown up an array of shock results and performances, with the top of the ladder very tight at this stage. With so much of the season to come, there is still plenty of time for a team to bounce back.

Last season, Collingwood were brilliant as they topped a ladder that saw four sides winning 16 or more of their 23 regular season matches. They downed Melbourne, the GWS Giants and the Brisbane Lions in a stunning run that saw them pushed all the way.

This season, things will likely get even more difficult. They now have a target on their backs and every side will be desperate to defeat them. Indeed, this saw 2022 Premiers Geelong finish well short of the finals spots in 2023, with the side finishing in 12th on the ladder, eight points behind Sydney in eighth.

While the Swans are the current favourites, things will change a lot as the season goes on.

Who do you think will be the last team standing in 2024? Can Collingwood make it two in a row, or will another side find a way to defeat all before them?
